EXTRACT FROM SEMINAR « SERENITY » in VANCOUVER, Jan. 14, 1994

Therefore, when speaking of spiritual cultivation, we can choose whichever spiritual method we like, but we must practice meditation. Only meditation will bring calmness. We will restore equilibrium to our brains and nervous system, and our consciousness will awaken.

Those who meditate a lot won't lose anything. Those who practice meditation are truly spiritual adepts. If one only pays lip service, and busies oneself with theorical knowledge, this is not true spiritual cultivation!

One remains agitated, even each muscle would be agitated.  If there is no peace, how can one attain spiritual awakening? One does not see one's true self, so how can one develop oneself?

Therefore, only by practicing meditation, will we be able to dig deeper into ourselves to read our own bible without words.

If we keep practicing meditation, eventually, we will reach self-awakening.

We will understand what we should do, and what we should not, which tasks are necessary, and which ones are not.

Self-awakening is the righteous dharma, only then will the truth be complete.

If one keeps arguing this dimension, that dimension, and so on, eventually, one won't be able to fully comprehend any dimension. One will only fully comprehend when one is serene and able to develop one's compassionate heart. Eventually, one needs to return to light.

If we are not serene, how can we achieve light? We must be serene in order to achieve light. If we keep meditating every day consistently, little by little, our mind will become enlightened. When our enlightened mind hears about the truth, it will open up naturally. We will develop ourselves in the sphere of serenity. We will easily forgive others and increase our compassion.

Worldly people utilize theories, and their characters are not calm.

They are not able to develop themselves spiritually. Their mind is not open.

Their mind is not lucid. They lack compassion, lucidity.

They often fall into infatuation or intransigence. They cause agitation for everyone, and they want to keep their power and position. But in reality, they have to return to serenity eventually before leaving this earth.

In order to leave this physical body, we must be serene to get out of the body. Therefore, people say that I am working until my last breath on earth. I am determined to end the agitation inside my organism. I detach myself from earthly matters, my soul can leave easily.

All of us have a soul.

If we create agitation, it will cling to our soul and hinder its progression.

If we create serenity, our soul will easily leave and re-enter the body.

Only at that stage, will we see the depth of the spiritual consciousness.

We will clearly see that humans come from an infinite and boundless sphere.

If we hold to intransigence and infatuation on earth, and to the perturbations of our physical body, we will be limited. If we create a position of power for ourselves, we will generate hatred and resentment among ourselves, and we will be unable to develop ourselves. We can devise all sorts of schemes, but we will not succeed.

All things on this earth will return to emptiness! Nothing is permanent!

You can see how precious our body is. We devote all our riches to this physical body, but finally, we cannot keep it.

So, we see that all things on this earth return to the void.

We learn about all kinds of intellectual things.  We stuff tons of books into our brains, but eventually, we must depart this earth with Emptiness.

Our possessions return to Emptiness, and our learning also returns to Emptiness. We cannot conserve anything in our brains.

Therefore, when we practice meditation, we will gradually release our attachments, and our karma of heart will disappear.

At that stage, we will return to the sphere of emptiness, serenity, and lucidity.  Only then will we experience contentment and happiness in our inner consciousness.

Many people say that they are spiritual adepts, but they only perfect themselves spiritually from the outside. They are not willing to unblock themselves inside. In order to unblock ourselves inside, we must accept all actions and reactions from the external world. Circumstances are teaching and perfecting us at any time.

Our family, our circumstances, all are challenging us at every hour, minute, and second, so that we may return to serenity.

The Lord has given us the role of a father, the role of a mother in order to learn about serenity. Where do we learn? Who is challenging us?

Our children are challenging and perfecting us. When we generously forgive others and love them with compassion, we will be able to advance deeply on the spiritual level.

Many people do not understand what the Lord is planning.

The whole universe must learn patience and resignation in order to have an opportunity for further evolution, and to avoid misfortune in the next era.

If we lack patience and resignation, we will face unending misfortunes.

Vô-Vi practitioners, who are sincere Vô-Vi adepts willing to learn about patience and resignation, will be able to overcome numerous misfortunes.

If we lack patience and resignation, we will only bring misfortune upon ourselves.

We have a clear meditation method which helps us to preserve the pure and release the impure. If we keep practicing steadily, our circumstances will improve more and more each day. Our consciousness will become younger and lighter each day. We will no longer attach ourselves too much to worldly matters. Our consciousness will become light. If we cling too much to worldly matters, how can our consciousness become light?

How can we find the original principle of soul eternity? Once we have attained serenity through our meditation practice, we will discover the original principle of soul eternity. Our spiritual awakening will happen naturally.

Some people have to meditate for more than a decade, for twenty years, or thirty years.

One night, they will naturally reach spiritual awakening, and they will clearly see that life and death no longer threaten them.

Only when we clearly see this original principle, will we be truly happy and content. Let's practice with great efforts, let's devote ourselves to spiritual cultivation, you won't waste your time!
