RETURN TO ONENESS – RETURN TO SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Q&A Session – “Vi-Kien » Meditation Center – Seminar 4 – 12 June 1986

Question: What is the meaning of the “Return to Oneness”, which precedes the “Return to Spiritual Consciousness”?

Answer by Master Vi-Kien:

         Therefore, we are practicing the Vô-Vi method: Concentration of Spiritual Energy, Cyclical Breathing, Meditative Contemplation in order to return to ONENESS, 

The three Upper, Middle, Lower spheres must return to oneness in order for us to achieve the return to spiritual consciousness.

Why do we practice the Concentration of Spiritual Energy? To develop the energy of our head.

What’s the purpose of the Cyclical Breathing? To unblock the energies of the five organs.

What’s the purpose of Meditative Contemplation? To achieve tranquility and return to oneness, before being able to return to spiritual consciousness.

Therefore, after your meditation session, you feel very light, and you feel very happy. 

In the past, you used to like going to the theatre, to amuse yourselves, to stroll the streets, but now you no longer feel the need and you want to focus your energy and stay at one place.

What do we search for when focusing and staying at one place?

We search for the return to our own serenity, i.e., at that time, our spiritual consciousness has started to open up.

Thanks to the return to oneness, we have reduced our agitation.

Once we achieve serenity, we will return to our spiritual consciousness,

We will then clearly know who is God? Who is Buddha? Who is an Immortal? Who is a demon or a ghost? Where do they reside?

They all reside inside ourselves, but we are not aware of it.

Therefore, once we achieve the return to Oneness, we will see that the three spheres: Heaven, Earth, Human, are also converging toward Oneness.

But currently, we are holding this microcosm which is divided into multiple sections instead of being One.

We sit here, but our mind is full of wrong thinking, self-pride, arrogance, our mind stores all kinds of issues in a disorderly way, and we cannot resolve them, because we have not yet achieved the return to oneness.

Today, we borrow this Vô-Vi method to return to oneness. 

When we close our eyes, our head feels the pull of energy upward, and we forget all the worldly problems.

Our true nature is emptiness. When we close our eyes, we forget everything, i.e., we return to emptiness.

When we descend on earth as infants, we are completely carefree.

When we are newly born, we do not hate anyone, we do not resent anyone, our face is fresh and lovely, and everyone loves us at first sight, and wants to hold us in their arms. 

But now, there are people who love us, others who hate us.

So, we must return to our true nature, i.e., return to emptiness.

We must recuperate the true nature that we have lost from our birth till now.

We are polluted by earthly matters while living on earth, and we take in external matters only.

What happens when we take in more and more of these matters each day?

Do we organize them and act positively? No!

We pile them up only, therefore, we are accumulating more and more trash every day.

Our desires, our sexual drive increase more and more each day. They become exacting.

Our sensual desires also increase more and more each day. They are demanding, they entice the Master-Soul to stroll aimlessly along the streets. The Master-Soul listens to their suggestions. He likes everything he hears about, he likes all things new, but in fact, everything is old stuff.

Nothing is new in the whole universe.

One talks about civilization, that this or that is new, but in reality, nothing is new.

With your eyes, you can already record images.

Once you see a person, you can remember their face.

Wherever you go, you already know whether that person is unfaithful, whether they are smart, whether they are kind-hearted, whether they are wicked, etc.

Once you take a look, you are recording immediately.

So, you possess a recording camera from your birth till today.

You also have a projector machine, but you are not aware of it.

When you describe a person, people can see their full image.

“Hello, I saw that person like this, this, and this.”

You can describe them when you talk. But what allows you to be aware?

What is this miraculous machine? This is the spiritual consciousness.

Your spiritual consciousness is that miraculous machine, the television set of Heaven, do you see it clearly?

When you record something, you will know why you need to record it.

If you turn within to see, what the equivalent of your external recording is, you will become smarter.

When I see an external scenery that I like, I should turn within to see my internal scenery.

I must have it; I must find the internal scenery which corresponds to the external scenery.

I will realize that both sceneries will harmonize into one. In that way, I would build my spiritual consciousness.

I will open my consciousness. I will realize why I am agitated by the external scenery.

Now, I will no longer be agitated by the external scenery.

I return to my own self. Then I will possess all the things that the external world possesses.

In the spiritual world, there is a piece of advice: “Leave the external things out of your ears”.

We should leave the external scenery outside.

Once we are able to analyze our own selves, we will understand thoroughly: The external world also suffers like we do.

Such as the pine tree standing under heaven, it has to endure the cold and the heat, but in contrast, we cannot bear it.

The pine tree accepts the sufferings, it stays at one place and obeys the divine order to develop itself toward infinity. Consequently, it is saved through the pure energy. It receives the cyclical breathing of the whole universe which pulls it upward to evolve further, but people are not aware of it!

They would say: “O, this is such a beautiful tree. I will use this scenery for my picnic. I will stay here and play”. But if you lack serenity, you will not harmonize with the tree. If you see the tree as yourself, you will understand its laments. 

It has to advance towards old age, wrinkled skin, splitting bark like we do, but what is the important point here?

The center of its consciousness is the most important.

The tree elevates itself towards the World Above, so it receives the blessings from above. It receives the light from above, and underneath, it also receives the support for further elevation.

At that time, we will realize:

“Heaven creates all humans with a mouth for nourishment, Earth creates all plants with a root for nourishment.”

Is there any human being without a mouth to drink, without a mouth to eat, without a mouth to talk?

Is there any plant without roots?

Even a blade of grass has a root to survive.

At that time, our consciousness of equality emerges and opens up, and we will realize that we are all brothers and sisters on this earth, and we are living together within the same breathing rhythm of the whole universe.

Our spiritual consciousness will develop more and more each day.

Once we are able to return to oneness, we will return to spiritual consciousness.

Once you have returned to oneness, you will compare yourself to others, and you will see that everyone is of the same kind.

All brothers and sisters are of the same kind.

We had to go through detours and numerous turns, we had to experience unrighteousness before returning to true knowledge.

Once we abandon our shortcomings, we will search for the right path in a direct way, and we will advance directly on the path of evolution.

Therefore, trees are growing straight on the mountain, but there are no honest people on earth.

Because we have to learn the lessons of indirectness on earth, the lessons of impurity on earth.

Today, we have awakened our consciousness. We have understood that the central top of our head is the most honest location. I can bring all matters to discuss publicly at that location, then my mind will turn toward the World Above.

When I turn my mind directly to the center of energy of the universe, I see that I open my consciousness, I open my mind, and I will never be hindered again.

We must go straight on the direct path. We will not be hindered.

However, I must examine myself, whether I am truly honest with myself.

Since I live in this school of life, I used to hide everything.

If people ask me whether I have some money, I will say I have nothing, because I am afraid of thieves, because people’s characters are not honest. They want to defraud others and oppress others.

Thus, I am afraid, and I want to hide.

This is a proof that trees can grow straight on the mountain, but on earth, there are no honest people.

Why do we sit straight during meditation, why should our back be straight like that?

Because the spine in our microcosm is related to the universe.

If we are following a straight path, we will advance and elevate ourselves.

We will open our consciousness, our mind, and we will be able to see all three spheres.

When we have attained purity and lightness, 

When we are able to focus the three precious energies* on the top of our head, we will be able to see all three spheres.

*(seminal essence energy, vital breath energy, spiritual energy)

We will see where hell resides.

Hell on earth is represented by our physical body. It is a hellish prison to confine an obscure and stubborn soul.

If our energy descends lower, we will encounter this hell.

We will have no way to escape, we lose all human rights, all human values, and we will be unable to develop ourselves.

On this earth, we have already committed sins. 

When we carry this physical body, we are already a sinner. 

In addition, if we are imprisoned, we will lose all human rights, and we will even lose the right of a citizen. 

What will happen to a sinner soul? It will lose much more.

It will remain in darkness and will never be able to enjoy light.

Therefore, it would lament and cry, and be extremely frustrated.

Now, we cultivate ourselves spiritually, and we will slowly develop our spiritual consciousness.

We will see that hell on earth is our body which imprisons us.

If I want to liberate myself from this earthly hell, which technique will lead me to my goal?

I need to attain serenity.

In order to attain serenity, I must abandon rivalries and intransigence, worries and sorrow.

This body does not belong to me. God lets me borrow this body.

God lets me borrow this cane to help me in my spiritual progression.

God lets me borrow this cane to build my spiritual consciousness!

Today, I cultivate myself spiritually, I return to oneness, then I will return to my spiritual consciousness.

To return to spiritual consciousness means that when I encounter a certain spiritual level, I will immediately comprehend that level thoroughly.

When people come to insult me, I will clearly see the root of their illness which is suffering. I will only use my compassionate heart to save and guide them, instead of fighting back and inciting them.

Since their soul does not die, they have a right to build a positive path for their spiritual progression.

Why don’t I show them the path? Therefore, once I return to my spiritual consciousness, I will clearly see my capacity of compassion within myself.

I will utilize this potential to learn about compassion and practice compassion, do you see it?

The more you cultivate yourselves spiritually, the more you will progress each day.

You will feel lighter each day, and you will clearly see that your true origin is not an ordinary person.

You are not an impure person, you do not cling to rivalry and intransigence, you are not a passionate or angry person….

But why do we enter the path of blinded passions and generate such anger and blindness?

What is sexual drive?

It is due to the condensation of dark energy.

When we are able to elevate our energy onto the top of our head, when we are able to unify the energies of the three spheres, this sexual energy will harmonize with the pure energy from the World Above.

At that time, the World Above will pull our energy upward, so it is no longer blocked, and we will be free of sensual desires.

We can see it very clearly.

Therefore, today, whom are we working for?

We work for our own selves. We are developing our existing abilities.

We should abandon our numerous and unnecessary desires and ambitions, but with which technique?

We should mentally invoke Nam-Mo-A-Di-Da-Phat, so that the energy of the vibratory sounds could open our consciousness of harmony.

Only when we see the external world and the inner world as one world, will we be able to live within contentment and leisure on this earth.

In addition, we should repent our sins at every second, minute, and hour each day.  We should perfect ourselves spiritually and advance by our own efforts, in order to clearly see who God is and who we are. Who are the ghosts and demons?

Our sincerity will touch the hearts of the Immortals in the sphere of purity. The three Great Immortals are guiding and saving humanity relentlessly.

We should learn from their benevolence and apply ourselves in our spiritual practice in order to achieve our goal.

Therefore, we must return to oneness first before returning to our spiritual consciousness.

If we cannot return to oneness, we won’t be able to return to our spiritual consciousness.

Why do you practice meditation? In order to return to your spiritual consciousness!

Today, you have come here to meditate and spent money to arrive here, but for what purpose?

You come here in order to return to your spiritual consciousness. Your mind also wants to understand, but about what?

When you came here, you encountered frictions. Thanks to the frictions, I opened your mind, and you would awaken your consciousness.

When we gather in a meeting, we will have the opportunity to awaken our spiritual consciousness.

What is the purpose of spiritual awakening? When our consciousness awakens, we will feel more at peace, and we should march and practice on our own in order to obtain results.

We will no longer harbor blinded passions and superstitions. Thanks to our serenity, we will examine matters in accordance with our existing spiritual level, and we will cultivate ourselves spiritually and progress by our own efforts.
