This Vô-Vi method is like a whipping rod to awaken our soul.

Each Vô Vi practitioner has a responsibility for their mind and body.

Why are they responsible for their mind and body?

Extract of Master Vi-Kien's Lecture (23 April 1986)

Why do we feel attracted by the two words “Vô Vi”?  “Vô Vi” means emptiness, an infinite lightness and pureness. The more we cultivate ourselves spiritually each day, the more we feel that we have released our karma of heart with our own efforts. We can feel the pull of spiritual energy on the top of our head, and our consciousness becomes more balanced, purer, and lighter each day. We feel the lessening of our sorrows, we are no longer restricted by our intransigence, and we see that our spiritual evolution is very important. The more we nurture our spiritual evolution each day, the lighter and purer our energy will become. Where does this purity and lightness go? It forms our true knowledge.

True knowledge means an infinite understanding, which can never be stolen, which cannot regress. It evolves continuously, adapts to all circumstances, and develops in accordance with the divine law. Therefore, we are currently marching on the spiritual path. We are all marching and we keep going within the pure spiritual light. Why do ordinary people see that the Vô Vi practitioners detach themselves from all things? These people see that the Vô Vi practitioners are more detached. They are less and less burdened each day by the earthly matters which people are concerned with, such as rivalries and intransigence, retributions, winning and losing, and so on. In contrast, the Vô Vi practitioners do not hold to these issues.  They do not show it outwardly, but they keep building themselves continuously. They nurture their consciousness so that they may advance within serenity, so that they may advance within an extreme serenity and return to their existing shore of enlightenment.

Each Vô Vi practitioner has a responsibility for their mind and body. Why are they responsible for their mind and body? When we descend on earth, we all endure the actions and reactions of life, which cause the fragmentations of our inner consciousness. Therefore, we must cultivate ourselves spiritually. We use the pure energy of the whole universe to transform our mental state. We return to our existing serenity, i.e., we return to the unification of our energy. We use the central psychic center on the top of our head to relate with the whole universe, this is where we can experience an infinite purity and lightness.

Each Vô Vi practitioner is currently practicing, we are currently marching, but we inevitably have to encounter obstacles on our spiritual journey. Where do the obstacles come from? They are caused by our body, the restlessness of our mind, our arrogance, as we do not clearly see how to improve ourselves? The more we cultivate ourselves spiritually, the more we see that we lack serenity. When you feel your lack of serenity, you are holding to your earthly karma, your karma of heart.

Even though we know that we have a karma of heart, we also have a technique to release it. Every night, why do we practice the concentration of spiritual energy, the cyclical breathing, the meditative contemplation? Why do we practice the concentration of spiritual energy? In order to focus our existing compassionate energy and direct it upward in order to connect with the compassionate energy of the whole universe. The Buddhas and the Immortals are guiding us spiritually, so that we may become more and more serene and enlightened each day. Then, we will realize clearly the value of our spiritual training, and we will no longer procrastinate. If we stop practicing the Vô-Vi method, where will we go? You can see it clearly: procrastination, agitation, and we will never have peace in our mind. Even our sleep is filled with dreams which go nowhere, and we lack serenity. Therefore, this Vô-Vi method is like a whipping rod to awaken our soul.

Every day, you practice the concentration of spiritual energy, then the exercise of cyclical breathing without retention to bring in the pure energy of the whole universe, to tackle your impurities and transform them into pure energy, and you strive to make your energy stronger so that you may advance further. Why do you sit in meditative contemplation? To calm all agitation. When you do the cyclical breathing without retention, it is stirring up all the inner organs, the inner consciousness. There is no corner left untouched after the pure energy of heaven comes in to restore a new order. After we restore the new order, what will happen? We will be able to ascend higher. Therefore, as you practice the Vô-Vi meditation method, you feel that you are becoming lighter and happier each day. Then, one day, when you are able to exit your body and travel by the soul, you will no longer be as clumsy as your sitting body. You will no longer hold to the heaviness and impurity of this sitting body. You no longer have to pray and ask for favours in a vague manner. Instead, you will develop yourselves in a practical manner. To go from a heavy state to a light state is the right law. This is the Divine Law. Everything on this earth has to endure trials to have the opportunity for further advancement. The material world is constantly undergoing changes to improve, so if our consciousness does not advance, are we less worthy than the material?

Therefore, the more we perfect ourselves spiritually, the more we will develop our mind and master ourselves better. If we lack self-control, we will be invaded by other spirits. Which method do we use to help our soul regain self-control? We use the principle of Nam-Mo-A-Di-Da-Phat to unify the three spheres and return to self-control. Otherwise, if the energy of the three spheres is dispersed, we will lose our self-control. We will only be fragmented and agitated, and we will be controlled by the external world. We should not argue with lowly arguments, we should not use this tongue to express unruly words, as it represents our five impure inner organs. We should not lecture to others without true insight, all this will only cause regression to both our mind and body.

We must set all this aside and direct our thoughts toward the central point on the top our head. We can only achieve a true unification there. Only spiritual energy is capable of releasing our karma of heart. If you do not use your spiritual energy to purify yourselves, your karma of heart will increase every day and lead you into darkness. You will become despotic, arrogant. We have done this in the past, and we should no longer do it. We must be resolute, as we have no time left!

We must go until we reach the final goal. We must cure this illness. We have endured it since several lifetimes! Now, we must cure its roots, so that we are truly healed. A good doctor who wants to heal a patient also needs to have the patient’s cooperation in order to heal him. Similarly, if God wants to cure our illnesses, but we refuse to cooperate with Him, we will never be healed. What causes the upcoming upheaval of the whole universe? It is caused by humanity. When humans are at odds with each other, they cause agitation leading to killings, and mutual destruction. If humans are united, this will never happen.

Therefore, what are we doing here? We are rectifying ourselves to return to our old homeland. Our old homeland is a scene of peace, not a scene of agitation. Therefore, we must learn at all cost, we must cultivate ourselves spiritually at all cost. Why do we perfect ourselves spiritually? We perfect ourselves spiritually in order to arrive at our existing equilibrium. Only then will we be able to decide whether we will continue to stay or we will leave this earth. Even if we stay on this earth, we must practice the virtue of a Boddhisattva and work in a constructive manner. We must be ready to provide spiritual guidance with an unending perseverance, we must make infinite sacrifices, and we must be ready to do any work to serve all beings, like Our Divine Father has done and is serving all beings.

Only then will we release our karma of heart. Only then will we enjoy peace in our inner consciousness. If we continue to fight and cause rivalries, how can we enjoy peace of mind? We no longer fight and cause rivalries. We are not foolish. Those who abandon fights and rivalries, and work constructively for the common good, are good children of God. Those who fight and cause rivalries without doing any constructive work are only evil spirits bent on destruction.
