In order to cultivate oneself spiritually, one must practice. To practice means to practice the spiritual method to develop our heart and open our mind. Those people who cultivate themselves spiritually without practicing will not develop their heart and open their mind. They will only tell lies. Repeating the stories of the Immortals and the Buddhas only means telling lies, gossiping, and these people won’t be able to evolve to a higher sphere. To achieve direct knowledge is the right way. If one only repeats the words of Buddha, but one has never practiced any bit, and if one keeps repeating them, one will never make progress. The sound of their voice cannot harmonize with any sphere. If they do not practice but only hold to theoretical knowledge, they will not be able to attain salvation, and will be stuck.
