Closing Lecture for the Seminar “Union-Harmony” 2023
at the Hai-Khong Meditation Center.
Extract of Lecture by Master Vi-Kien
Speaking of our 3-day Vô-Vi seminar, profane people would say: “They only play for 3 days, but they say as if it lasts several years!”
It is strange indeed. Why are there only 3 days, but we felt like it has lasted several years? Even if there were many years, we were not able to learn completely. We are developing ourselves spiritually as well as physically. We feel healthy. We are improving ourselves simultaneously on both spiritual and physical planes.
Therefore, during these 3 days, we felt as if we have lived many days and hours together. Such a great joy! Our spiritual consciousness has opened up. We have abandoned all jealousy, hatred, and resentment in our inner consciousness. We practice love and forgiveness. Looking at each other’s face, we see that all of us are truly cleansed, happy, and beautiful. Our spiritual energy abounds, and our heart is filled with great joy.
This is an opportunity for us to elevate our consciousness and think about the Buddha. In that moment of sincere veneration, we will be able to receive His flux of compassionate energy. If we dedicate ourselves to spiritual perfection and rectify our mistakes day and night, we will be able to advance toward the sphere of compassion and relate our mind directly with the Great Compassion. Consequently, we will harvest spiritual energy in accordance with our abilities.
Therefore, we should gather in a seminar. A peaceful retreat like this one is an opportunity for us to focus our spiritual energy and develop our compassionate energy into a significant bloc. Only then will we truly see that “Compassion Is Strength”. Only compassionate energy will release the impurities in the human consciousness. A hammer and sickle (communist symbol) cannot purify our consciousness. Only spiritual energy can purify our consciousness. We use our compassionate heart to influence people after us, so that they may also cultivate themselves spiritually like we do.
Slowly, we will form a benevolent bloc for humanity. We clearly see the light in our inner consciousness, and we are more aware of our surroundings. When we meditate, our spiritual energy flows through our whole body and concentrates at the center top of our head. We direct our mind toward the Word Above, the pure sphere of God and the Buddhas, and we lead a happy and peaceful life. Within the blink of an eye, we can go very far, but profane people will never be able to reach it. Those who refuse to cultivate themselves spiritually will not develop their spiritual consciousness. Their brains will remain obscure. They will never experience this and will never be able to confirm this fact.
Every night, you practice meditation, and have developed your energy to a certain extent. During this 3-day seminar, we have rejoiced together, we have lived a long time together. When we meditate and are able to travel to the higher sphere, when we meet the Buddha, then we will keep remembering Him. We will cherish this memory for months and years, and we will never be able to forget it. Similarly, as human beings, when we meet each other, our memories do not fade, we still maintain these remembrances forever. When we return home, we strengthen our dedication and devote ourselves to meditation in order to obtain good results in the future.
We must spend efforts for our own sake, we cannot beg anyone to do it for us. In this period of great civilization, we must bang our heads in order to awaken ourselves, we must develop ourselves and march on our own. This is the righteous dharma. In contrast, to depend on others means setback and regression. This is wrong. We should sincerely develop ourselves spiritually in order to harmonize with our true soul and advance toward the Great Compassion. This is the righteous dharma. You must strive to accomplish this task in order to obtain results. No one else can give it to you. Many Vô-Vi practitioners like to sit to pray and ask for favors continuously, but what results do you get? You would remain a foul-smelling body without any chance of developing yourselves.
We must develop ourselves spiritually by using the pure energy of Heaven and Earth in order to release the foul smell and toxins in our body. We will become a light and pure bloc, and our consciousness can travel in accordance with our thoughts. Therefore, our ancestors will be able to enjoy our bright inner light. In a dark forest, if one sees a lamp, one will rejoice immensely. If we perfect ourselves spiritually, if we sincerely practice a righteous dharma, we will be able to form a bright light when we unify our energy. Our ancestors will all be happy and at peace. Light will spread evenly everywhere, unlike a person with a profane character, who differentiates among people. I only acquaint myself with those I like, and I do not connect with those I dislike.
In a natural and spontaneous manner, we see that the sun spreads its rays everywhere, the moon shines over the whole country, not over one person only. Our consciousness turns toward this grandiose generosity. Heaven and Earth have given us a fine example and showed us the eternal landscapes, the magnificent sceneries, like the ones in the recent Vo-Vi convention. We saw how the magnificent sceneries of Heaven and Earth happened within naturalness and spontaneity. Everyone has marveled at these sceneries. Once we have seen them, we turn our consciousness toward naturalness and spontaneity, and our life becomes less burdened, happy, and peaceful.
Today is the 3rd day of our seminar, and also the last day. With these final words, I declare the end of the seminar. Every night, we will continue to meditate and we will have an opportunity to see each other again.
